The riding of Yorkton-Melville is one of 338 federal constituencies in Canada. According to 2016 Stats Canada information, we have a population of 71,031 and the area of our riding covers 42,537 square kilometres.

During the Stats Canada reporting period in 2016, there were 12,350 between the ages of 0-14; 42,510 between the ages of 15-64 and 16,175 aged 65 and older including 40 who had celebrated at least their 100th birthday.
Of the 36,080 of us employed during the reporting period, 6,695 were working in the agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting sector; followed by 4,805 in health care and social assistance; 3,940 in the retail sector; 2,790 in construction; 2,265 in manufacturing; 2,190 in educational services and 1,890 in mining. Thirteen other industries accounted for the remaining jobs.
